Tour de France

#1 Post by Spectrum »

Anyone tried to watch it yet? no chance ITV4 has lost the tv rights Warner Bros have bought them, its available on HB Box and Discovery, as far as I can tell both subscription channels. You could watch it on S4C if you want it in Welsh with subtitles   Me and DW have followed F1 for 30/40 yrs since it was sold its very rare for us to watch it now, seems that most sports are heading that way, money is power, time to get the Monopoly and Mousetrap games out

If you've got a decent VPN set it to Australia & try SBS sport. (sorry for previous typo)

It seemed to work yesterday although by the time I'd discovered the channel & set up an free account the days tour was over.
Haven't tried today as otherwise occupied but it seems genuine.

Also available on French TV ,I believe, if you've got a connection to it such as an Orange decoder & suitable hdmi tele.port

Edit. just tried it. Deffo works.

We signed up to France 2 on an (old) smart tv using the amazon firestick. Extensive live coverage - no extra cost. Brilliant.

Edit, it's called "France TV", not specifically France 2

No, but we don't have French tv in general - this is via an app.

If you have Orange as internet supplier (and I know many hate them), you can access France 2 over the internet.

I will probably get called a miserable bugger, but I think it is pretty irresponsible even running it considering the weather conditions, not just for the competitors, the thousands of people that are going to be out in the sun in high temperatures, and they are already asking people not to try and get to the finish of one stage, as they fear they will get in the way of emergency vehicles who are desperately trying to deal with wildfires. Currently down to 21 in france this morning but were over 45 fires yesterday. Hopefully the peek will be less today, now they have caught someone who they believe have set at least 8 in Herault over the last few days.

Why do "many hate them"?
We've been with them for over 20 years & apart from a few small problems, mainly down to the individuals dealing with them, they've been fine.
