The Concorde

When we first boarded a Concorde in 2018, I was particularly impressed by the cockpit. Naturally, I took a few photos, though they were all a bit blurry. I’ve now come across a whole series of them that are razor-sharp, and I’m once again impressed by the expertise required to design and fly such a high-tech aircraft. Picture 1 and picture 2.

Looks like they got hold of a job lot of dials & switches & bunged the lot in.
Dunno how they know what's what there.
Most of 'em probably replaced by computers these days like the fighter planes purposely designed 'not to fly' so they can manoeuvre quickly.
One of my regrets is that I never got to fly in one.
I was almost ready to book a short experience flight when 'the crash' happened so that knocked that on the head.

Fortunately, there were also a few easy-to-read measuring instruments on board......and very small windows.
