it doesn’t show the taxes. They carefully place them in another website. I will look at that but I bet it’s tricky to compare with the pre 1/2 position. That’s why I asked them to provide the information.

The Taxman Cometh: again and again. Many different taxes and not always the same, some also region dependent:

1/ Place of residence: the State sets a range within which communes and départements determine a rate of local or département tax on final electricity consumption;
2/ The type of customer (business or private consumer) and the wattage (in kVA) to which the customer has subscribed. The tax is different depending on whether the power is below or above 36 kVA.

I am reading that electricity prices will go up again soon so I’m looking for a fixed rate deal. My current fix with EDF finishes in Feb.
I have found an offer from Gaz de Bordeaux for 2 years at 12% less than the edf standard tariff. Has anyone else considered them?
I don’t fancy the offers like Tempo so this seems a good option.

I have swapped our contract to Gaz de Bordeaux. It is fixed for 2 years.
I can change at any time sans frais. They do all the changeover stuff.
I have reduced the standing charge from 34 to 23 per month so that’s a good start. We’ll see how it goes.
