Sorry Liz. It was honestly a guess given the number of towns and villages with Germanic based names all the way down that bit of the Rhine valley.

I used to live just 1 hour north of Strasbourg and visited the area frequently but funnily never went to Riquewihr - many of the places around but never there.

I had miss read things - I thought Liz had guessed the answer correctly and was looking for a photo in her album to post, but was unable to find one, so I posted a photo just to keep the thread going while she was looking.

I had absolutely no idea that you were all still trying to pinpoint where the photo had been taken, and you must all think I was being incredibly rude.
