An interesting read about 'Woke'

Woke,like many things, started with the best of intentions but became a band wagon (.Like NHS clapping ,a lot of people who clapped were cheerfully breaking lock down rules and now are abusing staff ) If we would all treat people as we ourselves would like to be treated we wouldn’t go far wrong

Woke (stupid word) and all the PC crap that goes with it should be just ignored. Sensible re-adjustment of old "values" which were wrong is fine but I have had enough of tripping through life as if it was studded with PC mines.

Wasn't the pulling down of statues the "work" of the 'Woke' cult? A cult which hasn't the wit or, apparently, the intellect to leave the statues in place and explain the folly of the times and the object of the statue... (I say this as a national of a country subjected over many centuries to British cruelty).
Time for the rest of the world to set to work righting wrongs rather than spouting nonsense.

Half a century of politely explaining the " folly" had no effect. Action is needed and I applaud those brave enough to take it.
