Somewhere in France - Guess Where

@Nomoss
One reasonable ex- Routiers joint is just S of Castelnaudary, but their coffee isn't great.
A favourite of mine at a time when I was regularly taking re-homed dogs out of Carcassonne SPA was on the D 6113, just SE of the D 6313 at Castelnaudary. I never made it there with the lorry but with car and trailer could squeeze in round the back out of everybody's way. Family run with really good food and, if you were a diner, the showers were free. :D

It's called the Relais des Cheminieres.

We used to stop there regularly coming south from a previous house and stopped on the way home from Toulouse 4 weeks ago for the first time in years, as we now usually pass at the wrong time to eat there. The old lady has retired now, but spends time in the restaurant, which is as popular as ever, but, as I said, the coffee was dire. Maybe we'll give it another chance when we pass there tomorrow.

OK, OBR, here's one for you to ponder.

Looks like the Aerotrain track close to Limours. Built as a half (?) scale proof of concept.

It is the Aerotrain track north of Orléans, between Saran and Ruan. Picture taken in March 2009.
It was used for test runs of the Aerotrain 180 and Aérotrain S44, which seem to have been full-size prototypes.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but if you insist:

Right canal, wrong lock. The clue is in the shape. ;)

Absolutely correct! Taken in mid September 2007.

We drove there to ask the lock keeper the depth of the canal from the sea to the lock, as we had run aground trying to enter the Robine at Port-la-Nouvelle. We had a chat, and he then gave me a huge spherical fender he had fished out of the canal. It turned out there was probably less water there than at P-l-N, so I eventually cut down my lead keel to be able to navigate in the canals and keep the boat nearer home.
