French "wild' fires

#121 Post by Lori »

Thanks for the update Blaze.

It still looks pretty bad out there. I hope the evacuations continue to decline. It's still hard for me to imagine where all those already evacuated have been housed. There are so many of them.

I thought of you Blaze when watching an interview with one of the EHPAD evacuees. She was quite agitated for having had to be evacuated. I imagine it isn't always easy to evacuate the elderly.

Apparently France has arrested 162 people since 6th July, in connection with intentional, and accidental causes of fire.

Just read this in online Connexion https://www.connexionfrance.com/news/fr ... ers/805142

The first thing that went through my mind was ; If the bureaucracy is anything like the normal French paper chase , the town halls / prefectures would be burnt down before anything useful is organised.

Some things have not been mentioned in the press and there's been a huge amount of nonsense written on social media and in the press simply to attract attention. Some of the film was a bit iffy too ..... some was real though.
